MEC Motlhabane and RTMC Board Chairperson Majavu to hand over school bags to 200 destitute learners

About 200 learners from the destitute families in Mahikeng villages will no longer have to pack their school books on retail plastic bags as the will benefit from the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), ‘My School Safety’ Programme.

This programme is designed for learners walking from and to school having to be reflective on the road. The bags have reflective strip to keep the learners visible on the road.

The MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Dr Mpho Motlhabane and RTMC Board Chairperson Mr Zola Majavu will sart with the first visit at the Signal Hill Primary School, proceeding to Areaganeng Primary School, Rekopane Primary school and the Molapisi Primary School.

The RTMC’s My School Safety has further been combined by the ‘winter warmer drive’ a programme that benefits elderly with blankets.
